2011 Nokia T7 Specification and Price
A few days earlier, we brought to you a post which confirmed the existence of the Nokia T7. The phone in the above picture is the T7.

From the pictures, the design of the T7 is very similar to the Nokia N8. It in fact seems to be a cheaper variant of the N8 and will most likely be a China only variant. The phone in the leaked picture seems to have a China Mobile branding.

The differences from the original N8 include:

8 Megapixel Camera with Dual-LED Flash (Not whether it has Autofocus or EDOF)
The raised camera module is now flush in the casing
microUSB Port Changes it’s Location from the Left to the Top and Replaces the HDMI port
The phone in the picture seems to be a Gold/Beige variant
The phone says SCDMA/GSM at the bottom so we cannot completely confirm that this is a China only variant. This might also however end up being a Chinese clone of the Nokia N8 especially since it saws T7 on the front and NSeries on the back.

The only thing that puts us in doubt is the China Mobile logo as Nokia usually release various China only mobile phones under their network. So the logo confusion could also be due to the fact that the device is a prototype. Let’s wait and see.

Nokia has announced two Symbian^3 phones Nokia T7-00 and 702T for china. These are TD-SCDMA (Chinese version of W-CDMA) devices. The Nokia T7-00 looks similar to Nokia N8 but the hardware differs from it. The Nokia 702T is the Chinese variant of Nokia E6-00. The Nokia T7-00 leaked this march via OVI publishing tool.Unlike N8′s AMOLED display, the Nokia T7-00 comes with 3.5 inch (640 x 360 pixels) clear black display CBD and comes with 8MP EDoF camera with 720p video recording, Handwriting, QWERTY and ITU (12-key) text input. The outer body is made of aluminium and has an non removable battery, similar to N8.

The Nokia 702T is similar to that of E6 but it is a TD-SCDMA device. It has 2.46 inch (640 x 480 pixels) touch screen, QWERTY keypad with larger Ctrl and function buttons that allow easy switching between Chinese and English during text input. This phone also comes with 8MP EDoF camera with 720p video recording and made of stainless steel and hardened glass similar to E6.
The Nokia T7-00 comes in two colors, black champagne and metal, and Nokia 702T comes in, white and urban gray. These phone would be available in Q3 of 2011 and would ship with the Symbian Anna.

The price for being one of the first to sport the latest and greatest Symbian creation is $446. Not too shabby for an unlocked, contract free, business oriented smartphone which supports the 3G bands of both local GSM operators (AT&T and T-Mobile).

As you can see in the picture, the shipping time of the Nokia E6 is estimated to be between one and two months. While we would have definitely preferred something more specific, we also managed to calculate that the U.S. availability of the smartphone will almost coincide with the launch of the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 - RIM's latest offspring which has the exact same form factor. Yes, we know that the Nokia handset doesn't stand a chance against the berry in terms of popularity. It will however, provide the same functionality to those who want to be different.

(Reuters) - Nokia board chairman said on Wednesday Nokia Windows phones will be on the markets from 2012 on and renowned that Nokia had other possible partners in addition to Microsoft and Google.

Microsoft and Nokia signed a ultimate agreement that seals the dealannounced in February between the two companies, creating a formidable competitor against Google‘s Android and Apple‘s iOS.
Now, Nokia can travel away from its aging Symbian operating system, embracing the Windows Phone software to create a new ecosystem of Nokia hardware and Microsoft software. The companies announced that Nokia-built Windows Phones are previously in development, “with the aim of securing volume machine shipments in 2012.”
While Nokia engineers are busying themselves creating hardware for the Windows Phone, Microsoft gains the authority of Nokia’s mapping and navigation platform, certain to enhance Microsoft’s Bing search engine. Those mapping services will also show up on Nokia phones organization Windows Phone, but there was no word about whether those mapping services would also run on Windows Phone handsets not made by Nokia.

What in relation to developers? The companies plan to easiness the transition for Symbian developers to move to the Windows phone operating system. In our view, this looks like a equally beneficial relationship, where Microsoft will have a formidable hardware producer and map platform in its camp, while Nokia will increase Microsoft’s resources, including gaming expertise, Windows Phone, Bing search services on every smartphone and Microsoft’s vast marketing engine.

The Nokia C2-01 deserves some credit for squeezing a number of nice little features into its budget. 3.2MP still imaging does sound refreshing after reviewing a VGA primary camera recently. Data speeds top EDGE and a microSD card slot means there’s more than enough room for your music collection. A 3.5mm audio jack too perhaps is better than expected for the price you pay.

Little cash in your pocket and a good phone on your mind. Is the Nokia C2-01 it? A still camera, 3G and a memory card slot sound like we’re on the right track. In contrast to the C2-00, this one omits the dual SIM handling but there are other goodies to make up for that.It’s a cheap phone alright, nothing too flashy, nothing to shout about.

Main disadvantages:

You know, phones with a flashlight have long been bottom of the Nokia barrel. Recently, it’s dual SIM phones. Well, the C2-01 is neither. Now, how good is this – or how bad? Jump to the next page, as we try to find out.

We have some complaints (seriously, it’s 2011 and S40 still lacks smart dialing) but other than that the C2-01 looks pretty decent. Arguably, you can hold the lack of dual SIM support against the Nokia C2-01. This feature though is obviously left to the most basic of handsets in the C-series. The C2-01 is a budget phone but not that much of a penny pincher.

But there’re other questions to be answered first. What’s in the box? Is the Nokia C2-01 durable? Out tour of the phone’s hardware is about to begin.

Nokia MeeGo tablet image

We just dug out a photo of a Nokia-branded MeeGo tablet, along with some specs. Packing telephony and a landscape-oriented interface we are not sure what to make of the device, but it might just turn out to be the hotly anticipated Nokia N9.
The device pictured is obviously a really early prototype as most of its hardware is not working and there is none of the Nokia custom UI to be seen on it. Yet we did get some hardware specs so it's not all bad.
Packing a 4.5" screen the Nokia MeeGo half-tablet-half-phone will be supporting 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A microUSB port isn't mentioned but it's now mandatory for all devices sold in the EU so we'll assume it's present too.

An accelerometer is onboard, along a gyroscope. Camera is also present, though we cannot confirm its resolution. If this really turns out to be the Nokia N9 and previous rumors are to be trusted we might get to see the N8 top-quality on this one.
Of course, there's always the chance that this is just a reference design for engineering needs and we are getting all too excited without a valid reason.
What's making us rather suspicious is the mouse pointer visible on the screen. However the leaked list of current bugs does include a failure to operate the device through the touchscreen and MeeGo supports mouse input so it could just be a Bluetooth accessory.
There’s also another theory, coming from Eldar Murtazin’s Twitter account. According to the editor-in-chief of Mobile-review.com, the N9 has been given the axe and Nokia chose to develop another device instead. If that’s true, it explains why the styling of the device above is so unlike those early N9 shots we've all seen.
Here's hoping there's a MeeGo smartphone announcement coming next month, so we could finally stop with all the guessing.
